Great minds think alike

Kat and I belong to a couple of the same e-mail discussion lists, so we see each other’s takes on business matters on a regular basis. We have different styles (she’s much more restrained!), but usually are in agreement in principle. This morning, I was skimming through one such list as I planned a response to a colleague who needed advice on working with a new client on targeting that client’s business, when I came upon Kat’s response. I have to tell the world that Kat’s response was just great. She pinpointed where our colleague was off-base, in trying to impose his concept of the client needed on the client, and provided specific advice on how to make the best use of the client’s expertise. She gave a side of her business expertise that I hadn’t seen before, and I was really impressed!

Blogging for Brighton

For the past several months, I’ve been “blogging for Brighton” for Rochester’s Democrat and Chronicle newspaper. It’s been a challenge, since I tend to be the upbeat type and a lot of the responders seem to prefer focusing on the negative, but such is life in the spotlight. To see recent posts or post a response of your own, just go to:
